Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Garden Vista Hotel Palm Springs
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 8, 2013

For just one night's sleep room ok, good location. Room needs some tweeking to update and more attention could be paid to cleanliness on stairways & walkway leading to the room.

Pass this place up. You'll be happier spending $10 more somewhere else for a better experience.

This place is almost right downtown which is great. The pool is nice with lots of chairs with pads on them and the water was perfect so it was great just getting in and not being cold. The rooms were just rooms and were clean.. No DVd player. It did have an extra sink, counter, mirror and blowdryer outside the bathroom which made it convenient if someone was in the bathroom or showering. The continental breakfast was very limited. The attendant at the breakfast did not speak English (?) so could not communicate. Really? Never said Good morning to anyone, etc. Why would they put her in that position? The housekeep I spoke with and tried to get extra towels from didn't speak English either so that was frustrating. The sauna was broken. Easter break? Broken? The hallways were in need of vacumming something awful and no one seemed to care.. Very lack-i-dazicul attitude. For the money, ok. ...

The location is great. Very close to the main attractions. It was quiet and not too crowded during our stay. It is nice that they have a separate pool just for adults. A couple of things you should bring with you if you plan to stay here are pool towels and your own pillows. The pillows are very firm, so unless you like firm pillows, you may want to bring your own. Also, there are no pool towels, so bring your own. The complimentary breakfast is hectic, but I'll take it any day since it is no cost. And the coffee was surprisingly good. All of the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. ...

Nowhere near the stars it was supposed to be. Not a super friendly staff. Says it's in walking distance to a lot of things, but unless you want to go on a long hike.. the only thing nearby is a Denny's (that's closed on Saturday night), a pub, and one dance club. I had a suite in the Bellagio for the same price this average "red roof inn" type of room was going for. Furthermore, Priceline completely lost our reservation and after going back and forth a few times between the hotel and Priceline, we got it figured out. When we asked for a specific room downstairs near the adult pool, you'd think they'd want to be accommodating. After checking in and being given the ugly upstairs room that was a "pool view".. (the only view we had from our balcony was of the wall of the next building), we called the front desk and asked if we could move to the room we requested. The night agent told us all rooms were fully booked, which we knew wasn't true on Saturday because we watched tons of people check-in to the bottom floor rooms. Shouldn't a hotel be more accommodating to the people who've booked the entire weekend and have been inconvenienced by a lost reservation. I say save your money. For this price you should spend a few dollars more and stay at a nice boutique. It'd be worth it. This place IS NOT. ...

Generally good, rooms are spacious - no elevator for 2nd level, need a vehicle as most ammenities are a ways away.
