Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Grand Hotel Dallas
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 21, 2013

Overall, my hotel experience was good. Thankfully, none of my belongings were taken from my room (I was gone all day). I wouldn't mind staying at this hotel again. The price was extremely reasonable for the amenities provided.

The staff was courteous and friendly in the dealing that I had with them. I had no issues getting new towels or room service. The hotel is located a very short distance from the Galleria, so there was plenty to do during my down time. They had been, and seemed like they were still toiling away on renovations. This was a good sign, as it seemed like some portions of the hotel needed upgrades. The smell of fresh paint however was a rather larger drawback. It was overwhelming at times, and gave myself and my SO headaches while going through the halls. I would stay at this hotel again, in 4-6 months. Hopefully by then they would have completed their renovations. It was very reasonably priced for the accomodations. ...

The hotel was great, the pet policy was really the thing that got us there. It has very elegant hotel meets common prices. The rooms and decor is all done with a touch of class, on a budget you can tell. But it is a nice hotel. It is right off the interstate so easy access, yet it wasn't loud even with all the road work going on. I might add this hotel isn't in Dallas, it is about 15-20 minutes from downtown. Which was perfect for us. It is 15 miles from Farmers Branch, and about 30 minutes from Desoto, 50 minutes almost from Red Oak. I would consider the area Richardson. The standard is a king size bed, mini fridge and microwave as well as a couch. I believe the suite is just larger. The place is spotless. I passed by and saw 2 maids cleaning the rooms. Deep cleaning in every place I wouldn't have even considered to look. The staff was very nice. I had credit card trouble, they worked around it. Tornados blew into town and I was so nervous I called the desk, the lady took the time to turn the TV to the station I was watching to show me exactly where we were on the map. Plus they all loved my dog. There is a pool and a hot tub, we didn't get to enjoy plus plenty of vending machines. On there site they say they have breakfast but they no longer offer it, but that is OK. In and out burger in walking distance, and Jack in the box right down the street. O and the bed is to die for. So comfy! I would recommend it to travelers like me. In town for a wedding or business, looking for a bit of a getaway want to be closer to down town without being in it, and planning to visit more than Dallas while in the area. ...

On our 2nd night they had a wedding party booked in the banquet room. They had loud music playing until 5 in the morning and our room was across the breeze way from it all. At 2 in the morning I called the front desk and Thomas answered the phones I asked About the party because we couldn't sleep from the noise. Thomas was rude and said there was no way we could hear it. I asked for another room and he again told me it wasnt possible for us to hear it. After inviting him up to hear for himself he agreed to move us. The room he moved us to was closer to the party. We stayed 4 nights in this Hotel and other than the wedding experience we enjoyed our stay and will definately be staying again. ...
