Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Grand Hotel
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from
real hotel guests.
Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The room was fine and the adjacent restaurant was nice.
Definitely the location! When I made reservations I specifically stated that I wanted to stay at a hotel on the South rim. I was assured of this. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT.We rode a motorcycle 338 mi away in the heat for the wrong location.....
This hotel is beautiful and rustic - unfortunately PRICELINE midsled us as to the location of the Grand.

the indoor pool was nice but could have been cleaner, both the water and area around the pool.
When I arrived I had to wait over one hour before checking in because the confirmation number that Priceline gave me was not good enough for the hotel. They kept insisting that they needed a voucher even when I showed the manager the email receipt
Our bill was prepaid before arriving and then we got charged again for the bill one week later!! Also, we were on the third floor and were not told that the ceiling had a very large window which let in the morning light....there was no way to draw a curtain. I would not stay here again.

It was in a great location which allowed easy access to the Canyon's South Rim. The hotel was clean and the staff helpful which is what you would expect from a hotel like this.
Not a lot of restaurant options if you're staying for more than 2 or 3 days.
The hotel is in a fantastic location, it's clean and the staff very helpful which provided for an excelent night sleep. There aren't a lot of eating options around the area if you're staying for more than 2 or 3 days but that's really not a big deal since there are more options inside the Canyon Park. I only stayed one night so I really can't give a lot of detail but from my first and one night impression of the hotel is that's a great place to stay due to the cleanliness and helpful staff plus the amenities don't hurt either if you like that sort of thing... but I didn't use any of them. ...read more

Room was good, no frig or microwave, but a nice accommodation. Young man at the desk helpful to a point. Location was great. Convenient to have a restaurant right there. Food was good, also the entertainment.
Hotel okay; service in the restaurant could be better. Need a bus boy. Casey ignored us, could have helped the staff more.
Good hotel, location convenient to the Canyon. Restaurant right there with good food.

The location to the grand canyon is very good.
Rooms are out dated. We were given only 1 coffee cup & decaf coffee only in our room in the morning. The cleaning crew was in the hall @ 7:00am so we were able to get what we needed. Front desk staff not friendly, felt we were a burden @ check in & out.
If you are only there for a quick stop and a place to lay your head at night ok place to stay. Don't expect anything updated. The cleaning crew starts very early so if you want to sleep in at all make sure to put "do not disturb" sign on the door at night before you go to bed.

Close vicinity to Canyon. Country western atmosphere. Room to wander with pub, restaurant, coffeshop gift shop. Trading post next store, McDonald's for kids. Safe, at home feel. Friendly staff in gift shop. Nice lounge with fireplace.
Only that the pool & Jacuzzi had closed two days prior to our arrival for lack of chemicals? Really? Had read the pool had closed in January as well on reviews. Not a deal breaker, but the kids were looking forward to it.
All in all, a great hotel, great relaxed atmosphere, good food in restaurant. Good pub. a Very close to entrance of park & shuttles to overlooks. Would stay again for sure on a future vacation & recommend. Also fair price. I would suggest the 2nd floor & take front entrance stairs to roam. We had rooms on 3rd floor, elevators VERY slow. Always took stairs anyway.

location to Grand Canyon, even though apparently it has no physical address
no physical address to plug into GPS. Staff did not even give me an address. Staff reminded me of the breakfast buffet in the morning, but failed to tell us that it is not complimentary. The most I have ever paid for a breakfast anywhere. Wifi did notwork
Did not receive a password for Wifi, but I could pay for it apparently. Overall very disappointed in hotel and misleading

Very friendly, efficient check-in and helpful answers to questions.
The internet was not reliable and very slow when we could connect. We are "addicted" to internet.
Our room was lovely, but dark. We could have used and there was room for an easy chair.

We liked the lodge sort of feeling in the decor and the fact that it was so close to the Grand Canyon.
