Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Hotel Modern New Orleans
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.December 11, 2012

For my visits to New Orleans, I strongly prefer this modern hotel and its central location. From its spot on Lee Circle, one can easily access Garden District or French Quarter by streetcar or foot.Service is very responsive, and attentive. Lots of nice touches added for comfort, and decor is very modern and pleasing. Rooms are modestly sized, but benefit from good layout and lighting, imparting a pleasant vibe. Indeed, in common bar area (with cool outside courtyard) and restaurant, pains have been taken with design to permit lots of light and little stuffiness. I was instantly relaxed and at ease, and felt as if I was staying in a cool, European hotel. ...

I've stayed here 3 times know. Just far enough from the French Quarter to be out of the craziness but still near everything. Such a chic mid-century design! Beds & linens are amazing!

The hotel is in a prime location, since it's close to the French Quarter and the Casino and River walk. There is also a trolley line out front. The staff are friendly and helpful. The free WiFi is useful and the continental breakfast is limited in selection but nice if you're looking for a quick bite before heading out. There are both ceramic or Styrofoam cups available for the coffee. ...

The hotel's location is OK. It is near places you'd want to be but the actual location isn't anywhere you want to be. The staff was fairly snooty and unhelpful. They seemed to be under the impression that the hotel was a lot nicer/fancier than it actually was and they had no problem making you wait a long time to be helped. The hotel itself (not traffic or the streets) was very loud all night long. I wouldn't recommend a room here if you are a light sleeper. The room was tiny and almost cramped although the bed was nicely appointed and very comfortable. The books in the room were a nice touch.

I really didn't enjoy my stay there at all. The fact that there was no where to park to unload your car, doesn't even begin my experience at this place. I spoke to management about how I was not too thrill staying there and then they tell me they changed the name of hotel. I told the manager that I thought it was wrong to wait to tell a paying customers that they are staying one place and when they get there its something else. I almost got hit with a ladder trying to get to inside of the hotel. A ladder! The construction work did apologized the place looked like crap when I first checked in and when I went out that evening, there was a freaking party going on and the place was packed with people. I am still wondering how in the world you will have a grand opening when the place is not even completed. They were planting half dead grass in the front of the hotel! I can see what they are trying to do, but you do not operate a business, especially a hotel with an unfinished building and expect customers to just go with it. I had to call to the front desk so many times, I just got up and when to a store to get what I needed. And the so call website they have for this hotel is a load of garbage. I think they should let their customers before their trip that you are not staying at Hotel Le Cirque, but when you check out the name is on your receipt and you are being charged from Le Cirque. I was not happy at all. I can understand having a vision and working on a project but which great artist present their work half way completed to the public.
