Outside of all the "10" ratings regarding staff, amenities and room - I loved the seclusion and the seeming absence of typical hords of hotel guests (including poorly behaved children / adults)
Really minor but odd to take stairs or elevator to get to the guest room elevator bank.

Absolutely loved the bed and linens. Opening curtains to a vista of foliage was glorious.

This hotel is am amazing oasis tucked away in the hustle and bustle near the galleria. The room was well appointed, the fitness center was incredible, and the spa was fantastic all located within well-manicured lawns.

The service and amenities at this hotel are EXCELLENT! It's a quiet location, and the rooms are very comfortable.
$15 plus tax for self parking is a bit steep.

The Houstonian is a true gem in the middle of Houston. It's within three miles of the Galleria, and about 15 minutes away from the Museum District. The room we stayed in was quite large and comfortable, and we were pleasantly surprised with the evening turndown service. The Olivette (the restaurant on site) has delicious food with wonderful service, and as guests, we had access to the fitness club. Location was not what was expected nor was the room adequate for a 4 star hotel. There was not even a bathtub.

Clean hotel nice staff. That's it. Not 4 stars

The staff for cleaning the rooms needs better organization. Too much awareness of presence of maintenance staff.

Lovely hotel set on the well maintained grounds, with a health club and spa as part of the facility. There are walking trails that connect up with Memorial Park and the Houston Arboretum. A big plus. The staff is friendly, very courteous, the hotel has easy access to highways, shopping downtown and close-in suburban Houston. It is well maintained, with the only drawback that one is too aware of the presence of the maintenance people serving the hotel. I highly recommend it. ...read more

Wonderful and friendly hotel. We were taking two girls to see the Justin Bieber concert. The hotel staff were really sweet to the kids and didn't seem bothered when they wanted to know if JB was staying there. Our room was straightened, beds folded back with chocolate on the pillow, fresh linens, and Ice bucket filled when we returned after the concert. I would definitely stay again. Hotel is in a beautiful location and was very clean.

Hotel is in the Galleria area of Houston. Easy access to fine dining and great shopping but is out of the hustle and bustle of big city life. Loved it!
