Cheeky would be the best descriptor. You walk in through the restaurant, so there is no clear reception area. Take the one small severely padded elevator to the first floor where the receptionist sits in a room off the hallway. The rooms themselves are each named for a famous Scottish person. The fittings and the colors are bold and beautiful. Some corners were cut, but overall the place looks slick with designer furnishings, chandeliers and large b&w photos of Scottish personalities. The staff are on site 24/7 and everyone we encountered during our short stay was super friendly and helpful. You are steps away from the High street and City Center attractions , and the place is attempting to be chic for Edinburgh. Fun place for a romantic getaway. ...
