Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Iron Horse Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The room was nice. The valet person at night was a jerk and discriminative towards us and the location was far from family who we were visiting
the actual cost of both days for the room and if there was free parking near the hotel.

I would advise any person of color to not go to this hotel. I expected four star service and received none. The room was dirty, it had no shampoo, lotion , or soap and when I called down to get some, they never brought it up. The valet person at night was rude and wouldn't let us park to be able to check in. The valet person didn't think we were even guest because we are people of color, he told us right away to move our car or give him our keys, even before we checked in. They delivered dirty glasses to our room and only had enough coffee for one person, one cream and sugar pack. There is no other parking on street, if you stay at this hotel be prepared to spend $25 a day just to park at night. ...read more

Inventive architecture and very professional staff
We had their most expensive room, but still had to pester them to clean it up on Day #2-which did not occur until 2:30pm

One of the most unique hotels possible. Rooms are architechturally innovative, and public space fun and interesting. Bar is a gathering point for all of Milwaukee. Location is a challenge but worth it.

Decor and ambiance.
Major problems with billing and also incorrect room booking due to them not matching up with my Priceline room selection.

The rooms were spectacular...
I didn't like the fact of being charged $25 for parking, I was dropped off. Other than that I really enjoyed my stay...

This hotel was great! Upon checking-in, we received complimentary booze and a free room-upgrade. THe staff was hip, but real nice...and the place was decorated amazingly, steam-punk style. I know that I really appreciated that the lobby smelled heavily of men's cologne; that might not impress everybody, but I felt like they were trying hard to make an atmosphere. Our room was modern, but old: reclaimed wood, huge antiqued-mural, some industrial accents, and some classic accents. Overall, a really cool hotel. ...read more

The vibe.
The nearly see-through shower wall.

I really enjoyed our stay at the Iron Horse Hotel. I went with 4 girlfriends for birthday celebrations, and they treated us well. Not only did they comp us drinks / apps in the bar because our room wasn't ready, they set up champagne in the room for the birthday celebration. And the hotel has very professional but friendly and easy-going staff. I would definitely recommend the hotel to other leisure travelers, and hope to return in the future. ...read more

The staff was outstanding, friendly and went above and beyond anything I could have expected.
Nothing!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who asked, and if they didn't ask I would tell them. The staff was wonderful and really made our stay special. They were always so quick to be helpful to tell of local hot spots and great places to eat. A big Thank You to the Iron Horse Staff!
