Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Liberty Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Great location, right in Beacon Hill. The space is beautiful. There are three different restaurants on site and they're delicious - especially Scampo.
The lobby turns into a bit of a nightclub. It's fun if you're looking to meet people or be really social but it might be off putting to those that aren't. Everything was quiet in my room - just noisy in the lobby area.

Interesting rooms, nice windows. Not sure worth rack rate but priceline rate definitely worth it. Great location and staff was wonderful. Love the bars and restaurants. Champagne at check in a really nice touch. Loved the stay.

The staff was very helpful, especially when we had to extend our stay due to medical issues.

When I arrived they didn't have any reservation for me. I had to show them my conformation number and they had to put it in. But after they clear that incident everything was fine.

Champagne upon check in, great high-energy feel, tremendous setting. Big hotel feel without a national chain restricting the management. No worries!
Can be a bit loud. Not a spot for families with young children

This is a wonderful spot for anyone looking for a getaway. From the moment you check in (champagne at check in?), everyone is working to make your stay enjoyable. Great front desk, concierge, complementary coffee in the morning, robes, fridges, etc. The absolute best aspect in the wonderful decor. Its converted from an old jail, and they've kept that character with flair! The ambiance just has to be experienced, since no words can capture it. Our biggest dilemma was to try to top-rated restaurants and bars in the hotel, or the acclaimed North End and Back Bay restaurants a short walk or cab ride away! The next best aspect is that you get a class, 'big hotel' experience and amenities, without a national chain mandating 'same-ness', all over the place. unique touches abound! ...read more

It's such a cool renovation of the city jail. Not only is it a beautiful hotel, but it has great character.

It's a quick walk from Mass. General Hospital - literally next door. Also, very accessible to the T and Beacon Hill.

The hotel lobby was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. I also enjoyed the complimentary glass of champagne upon arrival.
The room was advertised as having a view, unfortunately there was no view, just of the back of the lobby building. I had asked to switch rooms to one with a view seeing as I was paying a big price for no view was pointless. Also, stained pillows/walls.

The lobby was beautiful and the room was nice however, it wasn't anything extravagant. I did like the fact that there was a shower and bathtub but I still can't get over the no view thing. It was such a let down and I feel like I wasted my money staying there because it was kind of pricey for one night. When I asked to see another room to attempt and have a better view than the back of a building I was shown a room with the exact same view, and they said that was all they had. I was disappointed because I had booked over a month in advanced and was looking forward to the view of the river and skyline but all I got was a building. It was a let down. ...read more

The staff were so helpful and the room was so relaxing.
The service on the catwalk was extremely slow. I just thought at a luxury hotel the wait staff would be on top of everything.

Overall, our stay on valentines day was amazing. I would do it again in a heart beat.
