Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Moderne
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 10, 2013

Wow. As a 30-year business traveler, I have rarely had such an amazing experience with a hotel as with the Moderne. Eliza at the front desk is one of the warmest, most helpful hotel staff I have ever encountered. The totally modern and eclectic rooms were beautiful to see, completely functional, and full of great energy. Bathroom was gorgeous, very high end fixtures and well-designed. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, except without the draft. Luxurious mattress and pillows. Parking was right next door and they have an arrangement with the hotel for a good rate. I don't want to go overboard in my praise lest you think I was paid to say all this. It far and away exceeded our expectations. ...

The only thing I can say about The Moderne is that it will be our hotel choice whenever we're in Manhattan. It was perfect. They even had inexpensive parking for the car right next door.

We really loved this hotel. The location was one of the main reasons we selected it. We were going to see a broadway play and it was only a couple blocks away.. I would recommend this hotel!

It's a solid three star hotel, but not more than that. Optically, it's very "pop." The quality of linens and towels are superior. The location is great and the limited and almost always multitasking front desk staff are pleasant and helpful. The second floor lounge is great for a cup of coffee and a piece of fruit. It has a very European feel: small rooms, limited seating, sharp edges, dark. I didn't find the bed particularly comfortable - too hard. But, all in all, one cannot beat the price for the location and quality. ...

I had read in prev reviews that there was a lot of street noise from construction and thought that would possibly be completed but it was not. We had a front room facing the street and there was construction ALL HOURS of the night-had to run the bathroom fan to drown out the noise. The A/C did not work well at all - very warm in the rooms but yet could not open the windows due to noise. Overall, pleasant and nice hotel except for these issues! ...

This hotel is very small, but room is very good condition, friendly staft and very careful lounge service. I want to stay next time.

This was our first time in NYC and the location of The Modern was great. It was close to the subway, a 5-10 minute walk to Times Square, theater district, Hells kitchen and Central Park. This is a great hotel for couples or business travelers, as they offer free WiFi, but if we were to come again with our daughter and
we would choose another hotel. Our room was too small for more than 2 people. The rooms were well decorated. The bed and linens were wonderful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends. ...

Eccentric, comfy despite it's tiny size, and very accommodating. i have a love for boutique hotels, and this was a prototype. Our window didn't lead to much, but with Central Park around the corner, who needs a view from a room.
