Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Pfister Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Great location right in the heart of downtown. Nice lobby/lounge area. Very old world classy.
The interior rooms face an opening in the center of the building that was pretty unattractive so we kept the shades drawn. Would have greatly preferred a room facing exterior.

Great room with very nice furniture.
The only problem was the slow-draining tub. No big deal, since I take very short showers.

Great hotel in the best part of town. Very nice ambience.

The hotel is an elegant old style, ornate beauty. The lobby is beautiful with frescos and warm wood accents.
I hate to have to pay for wifi in this day and age. We stayed at two other hotels on this trip and wifi was free in both.

The front desk needs to pay a bit more attention to detail. I called because the ice machine was not working and there was no ice bucket in the room even if it was. The front desk clerk said she would send up a bucket of ice, but she never did. The bathroom sink plunger was broken, so I had to pull it out so that the water would drain. These are minor details which changes a "10" rating to a "9". On the whole, the hotel was a great old downtown beauty at a great location and with plenty of underground parking. All the staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay in this hotel again. ...read more

EVERYTHING was wonderful! Great service, pool and food!

We were traveling with our children and this hotel and their employees made the stay for ALL of us enjoyable. We travel often and this hotel stay was by far our favorite to date.

A grand dame of a hotel! Great location makes it easy to walk to several areas in the downtown core.
No fridge in the room was disappointing especially since it was a large room. The phones in the room were about circa 1980.

We loved EVERYTHING about the Pfister. The hotel lobby and rooms were beautiful, the staff was very friendly and accommodating and the location in close proximity to shopping, restaurants, and nightlife.
The parking was expensive, but typical for a four star hotel in a big city. We used the valet rather than self park and felt it was worth the convenience to have the car waiting for us when we went out for dinner and at check-out.

When we checked in they asked us if we were interested in upgrading to a suite for xxx. This included in-room breakfast and since we did not have a need for Wi-Fi, they gave us a certificate for two free drinks in the hotel lounge. The suite was beautiful and we felt like VIP's with the delicious breakfast brought to our room. We would definitely stay at the Pfister again and would recommend it to anyone who likes to stay at a luxurious hotel without it costing them a fortune. ...read more

Awful, choose wrong date, my fault but would not credit me anything.
Service and front desk were terrible to interact with.

Great view in a historic hotel
We liked everything, except that you are charged extra for EVERYTHING: Internet, TV, Water, etc.

This is a great hotel. I would highly recommend it
