Hotel Guest Reviews of the Royal Palm Miami
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.March 23, 2012

I had a great stay. The location is perfect -- easy access to the beach, Deco district less than a block away, right on the boardwalk. Room was clean, newly updated, and very nice. Only problem was the 4pm check-in. I arrived at 1pm, but they wouldn't check me in until 4pm, so I spent 3 hours wishing I could change and go to the beach.

I don't recommend this hotel because of its deceitful business practices. The rooms are small and have a window were people in the room can stare in at someone using the bathroom. Weird.

Staff unfriendly and resort fee for items that don't work
such as gym equipment and not paper delivery, parking was twice as much as across the street $61 a day in added fees.

Great newly renovated hotel very close to South Beach. The pool was ok, drinks were expensive for size and no happy hour like next door at Carraba's.

The first night we were in room . The room was too small for our family of 4. The a/c was not able to keep the room comfortable. There were no ice makers working in the building. After waiting for 45 minutes for ice to be brought to the room, I called the front desk again. The manager was very responsive and immediately brought us ice. The next morning we were transfered to a nicer room. The second and third nights we were in room 1503. It was awesome. Spacious and decorated very nicely. The location is great, the hotel staff were very friendly and the newly renovated tower is beautiful. ...

AMAZING location. Just beware that they charge you a $19 resort fee per day. It's worth it if you're a beach bum: Comes with two chairs, two towels, and an umbrella in the sand! And the staff sets all of this up for you every day. There is a nearby food cart that serves GREAT food, and if you put your little flag up next to your chair, the hotel staff will bring you a hotel restaurant menu, and you can order from that. It was a perfect vacation. Right near everything that is South Beach, but not directly on Ocean Drive, which makes the vacation less hectic and more relaxing.

This hotel should not be rated higher than a 2.5. There are limited amenities and the rooms were not on par with other hotels. The location is pretty good, but the entrance is not easily accessible unless you choose to use their valet services which are double the cost of self parking. They also add a $20 per night resort fee that you cannot decline. They said this is for use of the pool, beach chairs and internet which we did not use during the stay.
