Hotel Guest Reviews of the The St. Anthony Riverwalk Wyndham Hotel
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 10, 2013

I would stay there again. I read the reviews before my arrival so I was prepared. It was cozy, room AC worked well, location and view great. No complaints.Parked in their lot (didn't want to pay) but it was the best and safe place to park. Competively/fairly priced and you have in and out priviledges.

Overall, the hotel was good. Be prepared. If you are parking a car, it is expensive. $20 to self park and $26 to valet.

I would afford this hotel if possible at least until the renovations are completed, the room style is at least 20 years old and this is the reason for the renovations. Depending on your suite either the room are extra small or about the size of a normal hotel room, only a small segment of the room have park view although told they were already booked when checking in. My suite was in need of a complete remodel were bathroom had rusted sink and shower, would not stay again and thinking twice about ever booking through priceline where they assigned a 3.5 star rating, should have been a 2 star at best. ...

Right across from a park full of homeless people. In San Antonio's nothing downtown. The bar and restaurant in the hotel are old and tired. Bartenders were awful. Staff seems inexperienced. Rooms are in need of repair.

There weren't enough characters available in the previous section to fully express my disappointment in this hotel. Besides the low-budget tv situation, the tub was so slippery I literally had to hold-on with one hand and try to wash with the other. The pool was under construction and the fitness area was pitiful. I went downstairs to have a drink and hopefully unwind a little. The bartender girl was upset about her work schedule and complaining to a co-worker behind the bar, barely acknowledging me. She made my drink with soda instead of tonic and when I very politely asked her to check it, she treated me like I couldn't tell the difference between soda and tonic in my premium gin, muttering under her breath with a bad attitude. Very, very unprofessional. The overall thing is, I just expected something nicer. Yes, I got a "deal", but had I known the true condition of this hotel I would have paid more for something better. I don't think I will use the "Express Deals" option again as this is the second time I feel I was misled in the description. I spend about a 100 nights per year in a hotel and this was one of the worst experiences I've had in a long time. Oh one final thing, when you add $26 + tip for parking it really isn't a deal after all. I think parking fees should not be hidden. ...

This is a run down old hotel that needs lots of work. Tiniest room I have ever stayed in. Bathroom is so small you have to sit sideways on toilet because it is only 4 inches from wall. Shower curtain is too small so water goes everywhere. The worst was the mattress. Had to be at least 40 years old. Squeaked every time you so much as breathed. Could hardly walk around foot of bed because of small space between furniture. Dimly lit but could still see the dust on drapes, baseboards, etc. Filthy carpet-kept my shoes on. The surprise outrageous parking fee $28 per day will make me think twice before booking on Priceline again. For what I paid, I could have stayed in a really nice hotel. ...
