Hotel Guest Reviews of the The State Plaza Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Location was good.

Rooms were clean. Had a suite with a kitchen which was nice as you can have snacks and a place to store them.

The vintage feel of the hotel was perfect. How better to see the history of the United States than to cap it off with a stay at perfect hotel.

The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. The room was very clean and it included an entire kitchen that was furnished with pots, pans, and dishes.
The room itself was older and the furniture was antique to the point of off-putting.

This hotel is located extremely close to the GWU campus and has a back entrance so a walk around the block is not needed to get to the campus.

The location near the memorials and easy access to the heart of Washington.
It's an old bulidng and rather dingy, but it was clean.

I would recommend it for someone who wants to be near many of Washington's famous monuments. The parking is all valet and rather expensive. The hotel staff was very gracious and the room was very clean. Free wifi was a definite benefit, too. Overall, I'd return there for the price and location.

Staff was fantastic and very helpful.
Parking fee is ridiculous. The Bistro needs to offer a simpler fare.

Great location, nice moderately priced restaurant, spacious room.
No pool.

Great location for touring DC and a short walk to metro rail; very clean, spacious efficiency with a kitchenette; on street parking was available on the weekend; nice little bar and bistro in the hotel; very affordable rate.
