Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Waldorf-Astoria

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Excellent friendly service, and central location.
No free Internet in the room.

This is a grand, charming and centrally located hotel. The service was excellent. On the negative side, the room facilities are not as up to date as the newer hotels. There is a Starbucks in the hotel which is convenient, it opens early, but it closes at 4.00 pm, so one has to walk outside the hotel to find a reasonably priced tea or coffee.

The charm and class. The little details. The maids with their aprons. The chandeliers and beautiful curtains.
Everyone was always looking for a tip.

Beautiful in every way. When we checked in and asked for two beds and a high floor it was granted. We were given an over sized room. Housekeeping brought extra designer toiletries and soft towels. The shower head was loose and couldn't be adjusted. But other than that not a thing to complain about.

It was centrally located to everything I needed.
Small Lobby for the number of people staying, very crowded and not enough seating.

Excellent experience, will go again!

Couldn't control the temperature - it was too warm in room.

Lobby is lovely, sufficient seating for waiting or passing time. Fresh flowers on every floor level. Quiet clean rooms.

Hotel was clean, comfortable, and extremely safe. You could not get on the floors without putting your room key in elevator slot.
Food prices were outrageous. Continental breakfast in restaurant was $32 per person.

Convenience.
For a hotel of this class, maintenance wasn't as good as might be expected.

The hotel of Presidents, who used to take the Presidential train right to the hotel. It's a step below that now. Perfectly acceptable, although not worth paying the big bucks for.
