Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Westin Beach Resort, Fort Lauderdale

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The location was A plus! Right across the street from the beach and not adjacent to any loud restaurants or bars. Rooms were lovely and very comfortable. Love the Heavenly Beds at Westin hotels. The staff was amazing as well!
I wish I had know that the the steel awning of Shula's restaurant was a construction project in progress. It did not affect me on the weekend but the noise on Mon/Tues was very loud on the beach and in the pool area.

Location, location, location! The Westin Resort & Spa on Ft. Lauderdale Beach is in a fabulous spot. You can walk to many restaurants and other big hotels like the W and the Ritz for their bar and restaurants. It would be about a 25-30 minute walk or a 10 minute cab ride to Las Olas Boulevard for more dining, shopping, and entertainment options. Very walkable to a large mall with a Macy's , Neiman Marcus etc. The minute you drive up the valet car parkers are very gracious and welcoming as was the front desk team. I was even offered a cold bottle of water by the valet when I was driving offsite one day to meet family. Everyone was very helpful and made me feel welcome including the bellman that took my bags up and down for me. The towel attendant in the pool area and the attendant on the beach that gives you your beach lounger chairs were also really great! You get two towels and two beach loungers included. Umbrella rentals on the beach are $20 daily. if you are staying awhile it might be less expensive to buy one at one of the shops or the CVS a 5 minute walk from hotel. Internet in your room is $9.95 daiy and parking is $28 daily. You honestly do not need a car in this location. Take a taxi from the airport and walk or take a pedi cab or taxi. Room was super comfortable, spacious, and great beach and intracoastal views from my ceiling to floor window. Room was spotless except the air vent in the bathroom was encrusted with a thick gray dust and the back of the wall mounted mirror as well. My tub ran very slow as well so the drains and the air vents should be serviced regularly by the maintenance team. Loved the onsite gym and Starbucks. Did not try Shula's restaurantbut heard it is great. I will look forward to a return trip to this hotel as it was a great experience overall! Thanks Priceline and Westin Team! ...read more

Great location. Walking distance to restaurants and entertainment on Los Olas.
Everything was great.

Poolside bar staff was awesome. Room service and hotel restaurant food was good as well. Valet service was excellent. Very nice hotel for the money.

I loved the location of the beach to the hotel and the easy access to the pool and the beach without having to cross the street. The pool was on the third floor and the breeze at that height was perfect.
The beds were not very comfortable including the pillows. The air also did not cool down enough for the room although it was set for 65 and never did cool down.

The hotel was very nice and convenient and clean. Most people were friendly but would be nice if there was the option of parking your own car instead of required valet parking. The signs that said this were not apparent and very confusing for someone who had never been there before. I loved that they upgraded us to a room that "sort of" overlooked the ocean on the pool level. It was a nice surprise. ...read more

we didn't like how you have to wait for pool chairs, should be first come first serve, and in the afternoon half the chairs are in the shade
