The girl I checked in with was fantastic. She made sure I was aware of all our surrounding, the hotel amenities, and of course didn't shy away from directing us to the GAY BARS! That topic freaks some people out lol.
The hotel is nice. BUT, be quick getting on and off the elevators because they will close on you fast. Also, you can tell its an older hotel. The bathrooms and decorations make the hotel feel aged.

Common areas are gorgeous. Beautiful live music in the lobby during early evening was very classy and relaxing.

The Westin meets all the expectations of a four star hotel. Location was great: I wasn't sure what to expect since we normally stay at La Mansion, which is more "in the mix." But there is still river walk access and very close to many attractions. We were within walking distance of the market, unlike other hotels we have stayed at in the past.

Excellent staff. Very clean, comfortable room.

I would recommend this hotel over many of the others on the Riverwalk. Excellent service, location and all around experience.

Great location, close to all the Riverwalk action. Large room and friendly staff.

This hotel is not on the main part of the Riverwalk but is very close and you don't get the large crowds right outside the door, which is a plus. It is also very close to La Valita and within a short walk to the King William District or Market Square.

We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived.

The woman who was checking us in noticed that it was my daughter's birthday and asked if she could send something up. A few hours later, a beautiful tray with fruit a chocolate cake and Haagen Dazs ice cream came. About two minutes after that was dropped off the phone range. It was the young man who had dropped off the dessert asking if we needed more sivlerware because he had brought enough for two people and noticed that we had three. Such thoughtful and excellent service. Our room was emmaculate, the hotel was quiet, the view was wonderful. I would stay here again anytime. ...read more

The high quality bedding and bath accessories were top notch. They really think of everything that you may need to make your stay comfortable. A safe in the room, big screen tv, and a refrigerator packed with goodies. As well as maps of the riverwalk.
The valet parking was very expensive and the 5-7 gathering in the lobby charged for the drinks. The hotel is located pretty far from the clubs.

The hotel is beautiful and the riverwalk is right next to it. It's also close to the Alamo and the Hemisfair but you have to be at street level to appreciate just how close. It is a pretty far walk to the clubs but the restaurants are very close. The bar is open late and although we didn't go to the restaurant in the hotel, you can get just about anything to eat any time of the day. The towels were warm and fluffy and the bath has a rain shower with a curved curtain rod. The closet light comes on when you open the door. There are 2 stands to hold the suitcases and a robe in case you need one. There was complimentary water, coffee, and tea. There were also a lot of snacks and alcohol and mixers for purchase. You can get internet access and movies for $4.99. I suggest that you do your own parking though because valet parking is $22 to $35 a night. But you do get in and out privileges. The market is about 8 blocks away so if you want to go to those shops, take the bus. All in all, we had a marvelous time. ...read more

Always very clean, staff is friendly and helpful.
I had to use valet parking since the parking garage was no longer taking self service users and they charged an outrageous $38 for less than 12 hours! This is excessive even for that area of San Antonio.

The rooms were beautiful and the beds were great.
I did not like lying from the staff. When originally called we decided to stay at that hotel because of the availability of a riverside room. I checked in after paying for both nights up front and was told that a riverside room was not available.

Hotel is beautiful but the service was not so great. With all of the confusion we were granted a $50 food and beverage charge. Upon receiving the bill for food I noticed the $48.00 food charge (even though we were granted the food/beverage credit). They had to call the supervisor who granted the credit (whom by the way was not on shift that morning) for permission to take the money off of our bill. I was not expecting a 4 star hotel to have so much disorganization and for that reason I more than like will never stay here again. The disappointment, lying and choas is not worth going through again. ...read more
