Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Westin San Diego
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 3, 2013

The hotel is run down and cluttered. The carpets are dirty. The service is pretty bad for a Weston. The room we had was very oddly shaped with the bed very far from the television. The carpets were dirty and it smelled really bad. When we asked for help with this they said that housekeeping would come up but instead they called us two hours later after 11:30 pm and woke us up to talk about the smell instead of fixing it. The phones were hard to answer, why can't they just put a simple phone in the room that you can pick up when it rings. The location is next to court house and hard to navigate by car. The Weston Gaslamp is much better for almost the same price. The lobby of the hotel is confusing and features very little in terms of hotel services. Clearly this hotel is geared at business and supporting the court house next door. ...

The lobby bar was a nice surprise for a refreshing drink and the bar Manager, Brandon, was so very helpful in informing us of local sites and providing restaurant suggestions!

The hotel is nice but I have stayed in nicer ones in downtown, harbor area of San Diego. It was more money than I paid for the nicer one too.

This hotel was okay. For the money The Omni is a WAY better choice. I don't think I would stay at this hotel again unless I got a super great deal.

You can park across the street at the overnight parking for $15/night- in after noon out before noon- so it worked out great. Otherwise valet parking at the hotel is $32. Great location for restaurants and a mall is closeby. The bed and pillows were VERY comfortable.

This hotel is really good, it's closed to gaslamp where you can find a lot of restaurants.
