Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Westin South Coast Plaza

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The ambiance was really nice. The staff was extremely accommodating and upgraded us for free because it was our wedding night.
The lack of free WiFi was surprising and disappointing.

The Westin is a great hotel with an amazing staff who were very accommodating. My wife and I enjoyed our first two nights as a married couple at the hotel and felt well taken care of. The amenities were very nice too. The little outdoor eating area near the massive waterfall was especially enjoyable.

Parking was expensive and they charged another $12 for wifi. Really? In this day & age? Not acceptable!

Hotel was what you would expect from a Westin. They run up to your car for valet parking (an additional charge) and have an attitude if you decline. The parking garage is across the street and costs an additional $20. I was particularly annoyed when charged another $12 for wifi. The staff was friendly (except for valet parking) and offered to wave the wifi charge when I was going to leave. Rooms are clean and nice. Location is across the street from a large mall if you like malls. ...read more

The Westin had beautiful rooms, friendly staff, large lobby, and a bar/restaurant that stayed open late.
Breakfast did not start until 8:00AM precluding us to find another restaurant in Costa Mesa.

I stayed in a room with 2 double beds and the beds in this room were the best hotel beds I have ever slept on. They were so comfortable and soft fluffy blankets made the room one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in!
I would have liked to have known the pool at the hotel was there. The pool was not shown off or adverstised very well and was not aware it was there until I was checking out.

The location was extrememly easy to get to and located near many good restaurants and shopping locations. I stayed in a room with 2 double beds and the beds in this room were the best hotel beds I have ever slept on. They were so comfortable and soft fluffy blankets made the room one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! I would recomend this hotel to any person from a family traveler to a business traveler. The staff was amazing and so nice and easy to talk to. ...read more

Good location. Nice spacious rooms. Love having a fully-equipped coffee-maker with regular, decaf and tea options.
Happened to stay there on a Saturday when a wedding was going on. The walls and doors aren't as sound proof as they could be as there were several times through the night that I was briefly woken up by loud groups walking down the hall.

The location and price were ideal. We love this hotel, but it is often too expensive for us. We were surprised to get it on Priceline.
Check-in and check-out were somewhat slow. We didn't like that they said we'd asked for two beds when we hadn't (Priceline doesn't typically ask us our preference), but that was resolved.

Great location in Orange County. Very elegant place to stay. Convenient for shopping, dining and entertainment.
