Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Westin Westminster

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The hotel was great. There was shopping and food nearby, the staff was courteous and helpful. And their mascot, Westie, was wonderful, to have a dog right there in the lobby.
We were not impressed with the restaurant, Kuchina. We went for the breakfast brunch, and it seemed as though the food had just been left put and forgotten. If I were to go again, I would check how the buffet looks before agreeing to it.

The room was clean and the hotel was overall pretty quiet.
The rooms are dated and many things are broken or falling apart.

I don't know if all the rooms are the same, but the room we were given was outdated and in serious need of repairs. The bed was ok and the tv was nice and big, other than that I wasn't impressed at all. I attempted to turn the heat on the first night there, even turned it up to 80 degrees and all I could get was cool air. I called the front office and they sent someone up who tried explaining that because it wasn't very cold outside the heat inside would not work. It did come on around 10pm that night, but by that time I had already layered my clothes and went to sleep. ...read more

It was a great room at a fantastic price.
This is our 2nd stay at this hotel- we named our price and this is the hotel we got. I am glad. Our last stay was not the greatest- this one was.

Pet friendly; very convenient, great room, excellent friendly staff.

I typically love the westin. but this experience fell short
First off, I always request a king bed. I am a tall guy. The hotel informed me that my reservation requested two double beds. I hardly fit in one by myself, let alone with another person. Also, the bedside phone did not work. no offer to fix it.

It was just a lackluster experience this time. both on pricelines part and on the hotels part. did not line up with past experiences.

All of the staff was very friendly. The rooms were very nice. The Starbucks barista was fast, efficient, made great coffee, and had info on meetings inside the hotel. Love the lobby and the music.
There were no negatives.

I was in Denver to visit my daughter, who lives nearby. The hotel was close, the surroundings were beautiful, the Starbucks was convenient, and the price was great, at
XXX per night. What a buy!

Good location.
They refused to provide the room set-up I requested; I reserved a king size bed but was given a double instead. I made my reservation more than a month in advance. They said they do not have to honor Priceline requests for specific types of rooms.

Don't expect daily supply of packaged plastic drinking glasses. Once I used the one provided on check in, they were never replaced. Don't expect to get the type of room you request. They say they don't have to honor your Priceline reservation as far as the type of room is concerned. The restaurant is at best a C+. My sink was almost totally blocked up and took forever to drain. They pulled the stopper parts out of the sink and just let them lie on the sink top for my 4 day stay. The sink still barely drained. They know that you are a Priceline customer at the desk when you check in, so they aren't interested in extending any extra courtesy to you and this attitude comes through loud and clear. This hotel is at best a 2 star hotel. I have stayed in this hotel off and on for over 10 years, it used to be a great place to stay and dine, not anymore! ...read more
