Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Yorktowne Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Very historic, lots of beautiful woodwork.
Parking was an extra charge (though not very high), and by valet.

Historic hotel, with small but very pretty, antique filled lobby. A much more unique experience than staying in the average chain hotel.

It's an older hotel with good bones.
The room was poor.

Very quiet and comfortable.
Small bathrooms, and rooms need updating.

The hotel had an appealing lobby. The room was quiet and comfortable.

Excellent friendly staff.
Needs easy upgrades.

Nice place. Very old. Clean, but needs easy fixes (wallpaper, paint, etc). Excellent staff and very friendly. For the money it was good.

The old world charm and the excellent dining experience along with a great location.
Parking was a little difficult and an extra charge, however not unusual for a downtown hotel.

Charming surroundings and extremely helpful and friendly staff. The hotel restaurant met and exceeded it's 4 diamond rating with spectacular food and an extremely professional wait staff.

Location.
Front desk staff seemed annoyed.

The Yorktown Hotel is a located right in downtown York, convenient for business travelers. It is an older hotel that has been fairly well maintained, but do not expect newer amenities such as a swimming pool.

Very nice architecture.
Nothing.

We were in a hurry so we did not have time to full enjoy the stay. I would definitely go back.
