This is an amazing holet. Not the newest,most cutting-edge place, but a gorgeous hotel with character.

The Tides hotel continues to set the bar for service and accommodation. While it isn't right on the beach - at this section of Ocean Dr you have to cross the street and they do have a section of beach roped off for their guests with personal chaise lounges. The view of the beach and the ocean from all the rooms is fantastic. You would struggle to not enjoy a stay here. That said, you are in the middle of South Beach and things are fun into the night so the hotel shouldn't be knocked down in rating for that - it is a part of South Beach! Stay up in Bal Harbor if you want silence.

The Tides is just as good or better than described in previous reviews. We would definitely stay here again. The location is great and everyone went out of their way to help us or asked if we needed anything. We requested a room on a certain floor and that is where our room was. Beautiful hotel.
