It was in a central location.
There were several things: the bed was in very bad shape-there was a huge sink hole in the middle; the pillows were horrible-they were extremely mushy and very uncomfortable; finally, smokers were allowed to smoke at the entrances.

I would mention restaurants in the area and the hot breakfast.

This was a great place, clean, efficient, with a small but fully Functional kitchen, and a small sitting area with couch, coffee table, desk, awesome ergo dynamic work chair and a super comfortable bed. Kim at the desk was especially helpful to me.
Next door to me was a group of VERY loud guys sharing a room to watch a weekend sporting event. They were having a great time at the expense of my need for rest. I called the front desk and Kim showed excellent customer service skills in helping me.

Next door to a great restuarant called North By Northwest. Hotel was easy to find, ample parking, room was clean, very comfortable bed, I will definitely stay here again. The free breakfast was good, the room had plenty of space for cooking if I wanted to do that.

The staff was extremely helpful and accomidating. We had a few issues with the air conditioner and they made sure it was taken care of by switching our room.

Overall the visit here was great. We liked the hotel and the location. We did miss the hotel the first time we drove up the street and ended up having to drive around the block to get there. The trees were blocking the sign and we didnt see it until we passed it. No big deal though. The staff was great, the breakfast was good, the rooms were nice. I loved almost everything about this hotel. Friendly staff, very nice and comfortable rooms. Awesome breakfast. Great location right off the freeway, and not too close so you don't hear the cars. Nice surrounding area too, felt very safe.
The ONLY thing that was annoying, but I can definitely deal with, was the fact that the walls seemed a little thin. The room next to me had music that was a little too loud, then once it was off, the snoring was quite loud. Not a big deal though.

I was very pleased with my 6 night stay in this hotel (for SXSW 2013). I felt safe and comfortable the entire time. It was a little far from the event (about 20-25 minute drive), but I almost like that more so it's not so busy and loud. The hot breakfast was yummy (and different every day!). The kitchen in the room was so convenient if I didn't feel like eating out every day. The room was always clean. I really don't have any complaints, except the fact that the walls were just a little thin and the room next to me had their music too loud/heard snoring, but it wasn't that bad at all. Everything was great.

I've never stayed at a Townplace before and I am extremely impressed with this chain. I've stayed at all kinds of hotels but this place exceeded expectations.

I love having a kitchen

It was a great hotel for the star rating. I love having a kitchen. The free breakfast was not incredible but better then expected. Check in was quick and easy even at late hours.
