"Stop and smell the roses" indeed – the "wonderful fragrances and spectacular colors" of "every imaginable type of plant and climate" make this "incredibly beautiful" 79-acre "oasis" in Shaw a "St. Louis treasure", "no matter the season"; here at one of "the oldest botanical gardens in the U.S." (founded 1859), you can "feed massive koi in the Japanese garden", walk through a "space-age-looking" geodesic hothouse with "amazing, gargantuan specimens" or "bring a picnic" to one of the "summer jazz concerts."
