"Redolent in Gatsby-esque splendor", this "vintage" resort with a "perky staff" offers an "affordable" "respite" just a "dice roll away from AC"; proponents call it "Marriott's jewel" with "strokes of genius" that include a "beautiful" Elizabeth Arden spa and two golf courses (one of which is a "spectacular" 1914 Donald Ross design); but it's "heaven for flies" ("native" biting greenheads) say sourpusses, who add this "grand lady" needs more "updating" or she'll lapse into a "tired old broad."

"The better of the two at the 'Gatsby-esque' Seaview Marriott resort", this "narrow", "traditional" track "carved out of the pines" is a "real shot-makers course" featuring "tough", "tight fairways" that make it a "must-play" "for single-digit handicappers"; although it's "not as beautiful as the Bay", bugs are also less of a problem, and the "excellent practice and clubhouse facilities" give it the "heritage and ambiance of a gentlemen's club."
