This "spacious" 300-plus-acre expanse bordering the Denver Museum of Nature & Science is a "lovely" place "for a picnic" thanks to ample "green space", "beautiful views" of the city and mountains and "lots of amenities" like tennis courts, lakes, rentable paddleboats and a public golf course; plus, there are statues of Robert Burns and Martin Luther King, Jr. to inspire reflection.

For "breathtaking views of the Colorado Rockies" (the mountains and the baseball team), fans flock to this "fabulously" retro LoDo stadium where "almost every hit" is a homer "because of the thin air", so sit in the "fun and cheap" Rockpile section behind center field; there are also luxury boxes as well as an on-site brewery and a multitude of munchies ranging from burritos to Chinese chicken salad – just be warned "prices for everything are outrageous."

This "well-thought-out" Golden Triangle "treasure" just keeps "getting bigger and better" (a recent Daniel Libeskind–designed addition has nearly doubled its size), showing off "all the masters" via "fine" permanent collections, "interesting tours" and "traveling exhibits"; what's more, there's a "fun" gift shop that's ideal for snagging "unusual holiday presents."

This 23-acre swath of greenery near Capitol Hill seduces flora fanatics with 17,000 species laid out "beautifully" in settings that range "from a tropical rainforest with hundreds of orchids to an Alpine patch to a Japanese garden complete with teahouse"; indeed, you could easily "spend several hours" at this "charming" oasis offering "lots of space to picnic under the trees" (plus "convenient food kiosks"); P.S. the "summer concerts are not to be missed."

"Eye-popping from the entry on in", this "first-class museum" in East Denver has "so much" to offer that you could "go for hours and still see only a small portion" of it; though the "terrific dinosaurs" (especially the "colossal T. rex") are the "main event", there's plenty more to see, including the "wonderful Hall of Life", "great IMAX theater", "top planetarium", "interactive" Space Odyssey exhibition and a host of "always-changing" attractions.

"Still the one to beat in D-town", this "well-executed", "underrated" animal asset in East Denver is a place to "spend a whole day" having more "fun" than a "barrel of monkeys", thanks in part to an "easy-to-navigate" 80-acre layout that "won't overwhelm" the weary; highlights include an aquarium teeming with "much more than just fish", a "terrific polar bear exhibit" and a "don't-miss" gorilla colony; N.B. the recently added Predator Ridge habitat is home to lions, spotted hyenas, African wild dogs and more.

Home to more than 500 types of "fascinating", "water-loving creatures", this Platte River aquarium/restaurant "engages visitors with the wonders" of the Colorado River, supplemented with "playful tigers" from Sumatra and a tropical rainforest exhibit; devotees deem it a "wonderfully thought-out" place "for all age groups", but doubters declare there's "not enough variety" at what they call an "overpriced" and "geographically inappropriate" attraction.

Although no longer linked to the Six Flags chain, this "compact" amusement park is still "worth a day's visit", especially given its convenient location "right near Downtown"; thrill-seekers "will delight in" the many rides as well as the Island Kingdom water park, a real "extra on hot days", and while grumblers grouse about untidiness and tickets that are "way overpriced", you can usually "get a discount" when you buy passes online to print in advance.

Situated in a breeze-fueled prairie landscape, this frequent home of the Colorado Open is a "nice Perry Dye track" that's "interesting for the average player" with its "variety of holes" and "easy-to-get-to" location near Denver's airport; it's "usually in good shape", and there's also a grass driving range and golf academy to help you get the best "bang for your buck"; P.S. "play it now before all the development is finished."

The legacy of the "unsinkable" Molly Brown, whose tenacity enabled her to survive the Titanic disaster, lives on at this well-appointed Capitol Hill mansion, which she called home from 1894 to 1912; the interior, plush with velvet, lace, dark wood and lovely furnishings (many of them original), can be admired during daily tours led by ladies dressed in turn-of-the-century garb; N.B. the gift shop stocks memorabilia from the doomed ocean liner.
