Architecture addicts agree this 1931 building, "the home of art deco in Cincinnati", has an "unbelievably cool" interior with rosewood paneling and ceiling murals, and a "magnificent hall of mirrors"; even if critics cringe that "some rooms" in this National Historic Landmark "look like they haven't been updated since William Howard Taft's time", and others knock the less-than-perfect service, at least it's "right Downtown" with "nearby attractions" and an adjacent shopping mall.

Families who frequent this outpost in the city's northern reaches say they "can't wait" to visit its "new indoor water park" (opening in fall 2007), but even before then they can appreciate the "newly updated" rooms ("love the bedding"), "great staff", "superb" fitness facilities and "plenty of free parking"; disappointed on-site diners note that the location across from the Sharonville Convention Center is "within a few miles of a nice mall with a good selection of restaurants."
