"Picturesque holes" with plenty of "blooming flowers" and a "lush, tropical feel" lead some swingers to suggest this "challenging" Carlsbad course is really "a botanical garden where golf is allowed"; designed by Arnold Palmer, the "superbly groomed" spread sports "elevated tees, water and undulating greens", but surveyors suggest it's "fabulous from top to bottom", including "spectacular amenities", "top-notch" "Four Seasons service", even "homemade cookies and apples before your round" – in short, it's "a bit expensive", but "you'll get your money's worth."
