Fans of Tom Fazio's original Barton Creek course say it's "every bit as good if not better" than the Canyons and makes "subtle" use of the natural landscape: "one minute you're in the valleys, the next minute in woods", which tip-toe around the cliff-lined fairways, waterfalls and natural limestone caves; it's a classic that just "keeps getting better", with the "outstanding facilities" and "excellent service" you'd expect from a "premier resort" experience.
