The hotel staff was very helpful, welcoming, and friendly while I only stayed there one night they made me feel like I was regular and felt right at home.
The beds were a little hard for my taste but over all the room was great better than some Ritz Carltons I've stayed in.

Charmingly
not a cookie-cutter property.
There was nothing I didn't like about it.

This place took me entirely by surprise, and in a good way. On the outside and inside, it very much has an old-world feel to it, something you might find in an old quarter of Paris, for instance, though its theming is entirely centered on Baltimore's more prosperous past. A nice, adjacent patisserie connects to the hotel via a hallway for breakfast or late-night snacks.

Incredibly friendly staff and comfortable bed.
A bit off the beaten path as far as getting to downtown Baltimore.

The hotel staff, especially the men, were exceptionally personable and helpful.
The shuttle service is unpredictable.

The hotel is charming and quaint, with more of a bed and breakfast feel to it. The staff when we arrived and checked out were exceedingly friendly, including storing our bags for us after checkout until we were ready to leave. The valet parking was quite helpful and surprisingly free. The location tends to be noisy, but the concierge suggested a room away from the road, which we accepted, and we had minimal noise as a result. Overall, a lovely, welcoming place to stay. read more

Did not have a swimming pool. This one of the main amenities I wanted for the children.

The Hotel was in an excellent location with lots of things to do in the immediate area. the parking is a bit expensive. Could be an very romantic hotel in the fall.

The staff
was friendly.
The windows are so old you can hear
every word outside and people don't sleep. We were up all night with noise.

The hotel is very old but the worst part of it was the fact it's on a very active corner and the windows are old so you can hear everything going on outside. We tried to go to bed at midnight and could hear lots of conversations. Not just a little bit, it was like we were right there. Then, at 2 a.m the police came and made people go home. The rucus started back up again at 4 a.m with people setting up for the next day and yelling and screaming. Terrible! read more

The best thing was location. The staff were very friendly too. Cabs were available outside the hotel all the time.
The rooms were small and
I had to pay ten dollars for bottled water and Internet which
I did not want.
