American Inn Sturgis

We were only there to sleep and shower. Very adequate for the price paid

This hotel was rated low because they did not have a Continental breakfast, but the staff knew of a place not even a mile away that food was wonderful.

I would recommend this motel, was friendly and so quiet, and didn’t hear showers or other people at all. A real nice experience.

The owner was helpful and friendly. We would stay again but that mattress was so hard and the pillows so flat. It was nice and clean and very quite there.

Not worth the money because it is an older motel and starting to show general signs of wear and tear.

The room was spacious, and there was more than enough room for a couch as well. The bathroom door was folding, and couldn't be locked. Lighting was good, the heat was great, and it had free wireless internet. There were 2 sticky mouse traps under the sink; but fortunately there were no mice in them!

Had 3 people staying in the room - had to ask for a third towel. Had to ask for caffeinated coffee. Did not have an iron. Had a pillow with a stain on it that someone circled and pointed an arrow at with a permanent marker and it was cased and on the bed daily. But, it was quiet and the air conditioner worked.

For the price it did it job. We were only in town for a short period of time. We did not spend more than a few hours in the room. It was a place to rest our eyes before we headed back to Illinois.

Moderately priced motel, do not expect much. If you just want a place to crash this motel fits the bill. Close enough to town if you want something to eat or need to buy an item you forgot to pack.

Clean, comfortable bed (except for the pillows), large size room and needs updating but good for the price.
