Unfriendly staff.

The staff, upon arrival, asked me if I travel "on business". No, I did not, and the person at the counter indicated that I have to pay a higher price and also made comments as to my level of understanding on how "things work in this country". After quite long disputes, including calling the police officer on duty in the town and arguing about the situation, I was able to get the room. The situation was aggravated in part because of my expectation that I had a room reserved and already paid for In fact, this was only a "reservation", being left entirely at the mercy of the hotel staff. Once there, they were faced with the true price, as the hotel staff indicated: "those people never read the small print!". read more
