Description of Americas Best Value Inn
Located in Plattsburgh, New York, one of the prime gateways between the U.S. and Canada, the Americas Best Value Inn offers all the comforts of home. We are proud to offer guest rooms with King, Queen and Full size beds. Coffeemakers are available in all of the guest rooms. Microwaves and Mini-Fridges are available upon request. You can stay in touch with complimentary Internet access and complimentary local calls. Entertainment for the entire family includes our sparkling outdoor pool and picnic area, including BBQ grills. Children that are fourteen years of age and under stay free and pets are always invited. Our courteous staff looks forward to making your stay a wonderful experience. . Situated on the western shore of Lake Champlain, Plattsburgh has played host to a number of historic struggles and events. The city is perhaps best known as the site of the War of 1812's Battle of Plattsburgh, a history that is recounted at the Battle of Plattsburgh Interpretive Center, where models of three American war ships are on display. Plattsburgh's history is further explored at Clinton County Historical Museum and the Kent - Delord House Museum. But historical attractions are not the city's only draw. Parks, golf courses and family amusement centers present an array of opportunities for family fun and outdoor activities. Go-Karting at Ponderosa Family Entertainment Center, scuba diving in Lake Champlain and apple picking at Applejacks Orchard are just a few of the activities that await visitors. Travelers should not miss the Plattsburgh State Art Museum, which features a sculpture park, a gallery of works by Rockwell Kent and a schedule of temporary art exhibitions. . read more

The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
In the winter, walking the length of the motel outside to get to the lobby or your room was pretty chilly.

We were very well received and the staff was wonderful and kind. The facilities were in great working order, although it took awhile for the heater in the room to heat the entire room. The lobby was warm and attractive and had real plants! Just be warned, have a bubble bath with the jets on at your own risk. The breakfast was not amazing, but better than some places I have been. Overall, the experience was wonderful and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Have a nice stay! read more

It was right off the exit.
The heater was rusted and blew the heat right up into the curtian.

It smelled old when we walked in like it needed to be freshened. The cable wasn't hooked up right, the heater was rusted and looked like it needed repair and the heat that came out went right up the curtain, which you could not leave open or the whole world could look in. We did not sleep under the covers as the hotel really didn't feel clean. You couldn't turn the bathroom light on without also having to turn on the loud vent. read more

Location and whirlpool bath in room.
The entrance from parking lot to the rooms is narrow and outdated.

First time I stayed in America's Best; I'd stay again.
