Convenient to Busch gardens.
Discovered on day 3 that our door did not lock.
It was OK for the star rating. Rooms have been redone since it was another named hotel. One morning when I went around the corner to get ice someone immediately knocked on the door and claimed to be housekeeping. He did not look like a housekeeper nor was he dressed like one. Shortly , I discovered that we were lucky he didn't just walk right in as our lock did not actually lock anything. The area is right on the edge of being seedy, with groups hanging about the parking lot especially at night. The outside of the hotel is typical of the motel of 30-40 years ago complete with dingy walkways and dirt encrusted worker boots outside the rooms. Excellent ice machine but 100 yard walk to get to it. read more

The pool was clean and the staff was very helpful and understanding. The location was good.
Outside corridors, loose railing on second floor, pretty old and in need of a facelift.
Good if you are on a budget. Pool is clean, breakfast was standard for free breakfast, good location near K-mart, Pizzarea Uno, DQ, Hooters across the street. Room old and not nice. It gets the job done for one night.

Close to the historical area.
Not clean, there's no indoor pool, smelly.
This hotel couldn't be a 2 star hotel. It should be a 1 star economy hotel. One of the staffs was kind, but that was all. We asked non smoking room, but I could smell the smoking. Bathroom was small.

Coffee.
Charged for use of in room safe I didn't want.
I have stayed twice. I called ahead and told desk clerk last time my room was dirty. They are consistant, my room was no cleaner than the first time. To make this a good, inexpensive stay all that is needed is some pride in ownership.

It was located close to a lot of stores, and very close to the Williamsburg Plantation Reception Center that we had to be at the next day.
It was very dirty.
I did not like this hotel because it was dirty. I had to actually go to the store to buy cleaning supply to clean the bathroom, and the comforter was dirty. When I called room service, I was told that they could bring me another comforter the next day. Question, what were we suppose to sleep with that night if we had to wait for until the next day for a clean comforter?

The location to the theme/amusement parks.
The room was dirty, had broken faucet, no cold water, bugs in the room and smokers next door to non smoking rooms.
The only positive remark about the hotel I can make is that it was close to attractions. The room was not clean at all. There were hairs all over the bathroom floor along with "smears" on the baseboards which could have been cleaned up if the time had been taken by the cleaning staff. There were large bugs crawling that we needed to take care of. The faucet was broken and moved in all directions and there was no cold water for drinking or taking medicine if needed. Did not feel the safest when arriving at 11:00 p.m. at night when three adults sitting on the curb where our room was all scattered in various directions and acted very suspicious. Non-smoking rooms are right next door to smoking rooms, so you smell smoke. The complimentary breakfast was over at 9:30 a.m., so after a long day at the park the day before, our family of five was not able to get to eat in time before it closed. Don't sleep in if you want to get food. Overall, we would never stay here again and we would never recommend this motel/travel lodge to any family or friends. read more

Convenient to tourist areas - nice facility - clean rooms.
No lighting in parking lot. Shares property with timeshare sales office.
We found the room to be up to date. Everything was clean and fresh. No problems at check-in. The pool was small, but nice. The staff very helpful. The beds were comfortable, the a/c worked well. Two complaints - a timeshare office occupies part of the property and made parking on that side of the building impossible (as well, there were many people!!) The other issue would be that there is NO lighting on the backside of the property (closest to Kmart). read more

Beds were not slouchy, they were clean and comfortable, good variety for breakfast.
Parking lot was crowded and had to park a long way from room.
I'd stay here again with my children, 8 and 10.
