Loved the hotel decor, large, comfortable rooms with very comfortable beds.
Parking on Saturday night. Right next to convention center.

I thought this hotel was very comfortable and plush. Staff was super friendly and helpful, too. The only downside was that it is located right next door to the Convention Center and on Saturday night, there was an event of some kind and parking was difficult because people who were supposed to park at the Convention Center which there was a fee for, instead parked at the hotel which left very little or no parking for hotel guests. read more

The staff was very professional and friendly. Went out of way to help me.

Staff very helpful when I was not feeling well. Restaurant made soup I requested even though it was not on the menu for that particular day. I even got a delivered care package form the restaurant hostess when she felt I had waited too long for the soup, even though the soup was made from scratch.

Room is lovely, bar and lounge is beautiful.
The room smelled like., it took 2 tries to get someone involved

The room smelled like sewage. This is not my first experience with this problem at this hotel. If they would get this problem solved the hotel would be the best in Bakersfield. When I told the front desk, the first day they did nothing. They tried the second time, but nobody from management stuck their head in the room to see if the problem was solved. It wasn't. I had to sleep with the windows open and the trains kept waking me all night. read more
