Near interstate.
The whole stay was disappointing from check in to check out.
We checked in, was told the pool was open till 11:00 pm. Went to room, changed, went to pool. There was a red posted sign stating "Pool closed by director per board of health." I went to front desk & was assured the problem was with the spa, not the pool. I was then told by a different employee pool closes at 10:00 pm. I told her we were told 11 & it was 10:10 pm & door was open, asking her if we could swim. She said no, & pool would reopen at 7:30 am. We went back to room, discovering our main mirror was broken, we had only 2 small towels to bathe with, the sink was broke & wouldn't drain, 2 of 4 lamps wouldn't work & there was a coffee maker, coffee, but no pot. Went down to pool at 8:00 am; door was locked with notice still posted. Asked front desk when pool would be opened, was told night before opened at 7:30 am. Employee said they didn't know what time, 1st day back from vacation, had a week off? I remembered "pool closed" notice was posted in June. An hour later called front desk, asked when pool would open, was told would get back to me. Called front desk another hour later, hadn't received a returned phone call yet. Was told "still waiting, maintenance opens pool, will call back." I immediately went to check out where I heard employee attempting to book a room on the phone. In attempts to take the reservation, they told the prospect, "remember sir, we have a pool." I can't even put into words how upset I was. I was mislead, lied to & taken for granted. read more

It was 20 miles from the Museum and Shedds, was easy to go to the attractions but far enough away to avoid the crowds.
Pool-cold, room-dirty, bed-unchanged + dirty was shocked overall!
The lobby was clean and neat. I waited a short time to check in. At the room the floor was dirty, large pieces of trash up under the bedspread, the beds were dirty and also had pieces of yarn between the sheets! There was a coffee maker but no coffee! There were 3 of us on the reservation, only 2 sets of towels. When I went to the front desk to complain about everything and get towels, there was no one there for about 20 minutes. I went back to the room and got my daughter ready for the "indoor heated pool" it was about 68 to 72 degrees!! The hot tub was even colder and not working. The girl at the front desk was short and snotty, when I asked for a 3rd set of towels so all 3 could shower she acted like I was going to steal them! Rude employees!! And her response to a dirty room and sheets was it happens sometimes. OMG... I Will NOT go back. read more

Easy access and close proximity to interstate.
The beds, the beds, the beds. They were very uncomfortable.
The good; the hotel was located right next to the interstate and easy to get to, our kids had fun swimming in the indoor pool, and the continental breakfast was convenient. The bad; the hotel had several rowdy, noisy guest, the area around the hotel didn't feel like a very safe area (O.K. to drive through but wouldn't want to stop), and the beds & pillows were the worst of any hotel that I have ever stayed at (had a hard time sleeping and felt like I had been beat when I woke up). read more
