Baymont Inn And Suites Zanesville

Hotel was decent for a two starred hotel. Day staff was friendly and helpful. Night staff was rude and ignorant. Beds were super comfortable. Pool was beautiful. Overall nice experience.

It's supposed to be a non-smoking hotel, but all of the public areas smell of smoke. The smell in the rooms was fine. Other than the smoke smell outside of the rooms and the expressway noise, the hotel was fine for a two-star accomodation.

The pool was not heating properly, nor was it retaining the water level. We were told upon check-in that they had
a fire the week before, and the hallways smelled like smoke. The "breakfast area" was much too small to handle the amount of guests trying to utilize it(approx. 10 guests)

No elevator to second floor. Carpet in hallways and stairs was very dirty. Hallways reeked of cigarette smoke. Vacuum had not been run in room prior to arrival. Shower curtain had mold and mildew on it but was replaced the next day when I complained. The whole room needed a good cleaning. Fridge in room was froze up and the door wouldn't shut. Blow dryer in room was pretty much useless, took forever to dry your hair. Continental breakfast area was very small, only 4 or 5 tables in it. Pool was out of order. Road leading up to the hotel was very narrow and steep. In my opinion, this hotel should not be in the same category as the Fairfield or Hampton. read more

Hotel was dirty. Mold and mildew on the shower curtain but they did replace it the next morning when I complained. Fridge was froze up and door was open. Sheets kept coming off the bed. Carpet needed a good cleaning. There was no elevator to the second floor, only stairs. Continental breakfast area was very small, only 4 or 5 tables. To sum it up in one word. Adequate. The beds were clean and comfortable, the showers were hot, the climate control was good in the rooms and the continental breakfast was okay. The refrigerator hummed rather loudly, there were empty pizza boxes left behind from other guests (below the coat rack), the hall outside our non-smoking rooms was always full of cigarette smoke and the pillows were less than fluffy. There was no elevator had to carry luggage up staires. The whole hotel smelled like smoke. Rugs in room were dirty. Breakfast room was so small we didn't eat there.

Friendly staff. Safe environment. Would stay at this location again if in the area again.
