Inexpensive, large rooms with shopping close.
Older.

I was happy with this stop because I was looking for an inexpensive, overnight stay on the drive home. This motel fit the bill. There was a ceiling fan - which I really like, and the A/C fan ran all the time - another thing I like since the unit doesn't click on and off during the night. The one downside was a lack of electric outlets. The bedside table could accommodate either the clock or the lamp. read more

Location, breakfast.
Room old but painted, windows too high to see out.

Older motel, upkeep okay, room where we where put had no window to see out. Ask for another room with window okay but $10.00 extra. A better location okay but another $10.00. Two beds okay but $10.00 extra.

Place was old. Room was a queen (preferred a king) and as far away from lobby as possible.

Lobby was okay. Rest of the place based on our room should be torn down and rebuilt. Definitely not a 2 star. Based on this stay I will only use Priceline for 3 star or better where our experience has been good.

No high chairs in breakfast room. Wi-Fi did not work in room. No indoor pool.

Hotel looked like it has some recently renovated rooms, but they put us at the back of the property in an older room. No indoor pool, so not that great to stay here with a child in colder months. Wi-Fi did not work in our room. They have a continental breakfast that was very nice if you do not have a young child. I have a 2 year old and had to try and hold him on my lap while we ate. Since they do not have any high chair or booster seats. Overall if you just need to sleep in Springfield for a night and all you care is about a bed go for it. I'll stay somewhere else next time. read more

Friendly staff.
Every room smelled like an ashtray.

Every room, including the non smoking rooms, smelled like an ashtray. At night, many occupants were partying in front of their rooms making noise, slamming car doors, and honking horns. I would never return to this hotel, as it was worse then most Motel 6 rooms I had stayed in.

The hotel had the incorrect room type for me when I arrived. When I explained what room I needed they would not budge without charging me more. I called Priceline and they contacted the hotel and it was immediately fixed, but the hassle additional 15 minutes seemed senseless.

Friendly staff and room much better than expected.

The hotel and our room was very clean. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.
