Best Western Coronado Motor Hotel

The hotel was definitely a motel. I loved that there was no extra charge for pets, and they allowed a late check out time of 1pm. The heat in the room didn't work, but the staff was able to resolve the problem quickly. The motel is old, as a single female traveller, the glass doors did not provide a feeling of safety. There was a little bit of a funny smell to the room too. But the bed was very comfortable, I slept well and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel looked like a western motel as seen in movies. But, the interior had been fully renovated and modern. It was very comfortable.

Adequate for our needs, small room in that closet door hit the bed every time it was opened.

Overall a pleasant stay. The only negative was the barely adequate bathroom.

We use Priceline a lot and this was our first big disappointment

The hotel was remodeled. But there is only so much you can do to an old building like that. It was not a 2-star hotel. The first room they gave us use to be a smoking room that they tried to cover up with air freshener. I got about 4 hours of sleep.

Motel itself was what I expected for a two star. It was clean and charming on the outside. The rooms were nice with a good large TV. The small Mexican cafe next door was the high point. The food there was wonderful and the decor was warm and kitchy.
