Friendly staff, decent breakfast, and comfy bed.
Small room, bad neighborhood, and extra charges.
This is definitely not an extended stay hotel. Probably would be okay if you are just coming for a day or two, especially if a business traveler looking for a place to crash. Small fridge in room plus a small microwave is just enough for sodas, staff is friendly, and the breakfast is decent, though they have a person watching you like you are going to stick cereal in your pockets and run out, which makes it uncomfortable. I had never been charged for an extra bed, and had to pay $10 per day at check in, which, since I stayed eight days added up to an $80 unexpected charge which could not be avoided. I would think the hotel would give the money back if they realized that a review would be written and read by thousands of potential guests. read more

I hated the location, the unwilliness to help me out of that hotel.

The entire staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Train platform across the street.
Not in a good neighborhood. No decent places to eat. Need drive to eat and play.
I would stay here again while on business. Not something I would do if I was planning on a vacation. The hotel really needs a restaurant. Hotel in a bad neighborhood we needed to travel to eat. Do not try walking to the Convention Center or Aquarium.

Friendly and helpful staff. Location is not the greatest but the rooms were nice.
Location, good dining nor activities not near.
This a hotel I would stay in again for business trips. The front desk and the van drivers were top notch and house keeping keeps the rooms immaculate. Too bad for its location but for the price I can live with that.

Excellent staff, breakfast, high speed Internet, microwave and fridge.
Quality of soaps provided.
For the price paid this Hotel offers great value as mentioned in the survey above. There are quite a few restaurants around - so great choice for eating out. The staff was outstanding in their attitude and customer focus - kudos to them.

Pleasant, secluded in the room but busy location.
Room was dark, inadequate lamps.
It was a good value for the price and very convenient location for my needs.

It was clean and well located. not bad for 2 stars.
Nothing.
I needed an inexpensive place to stay in the downtown Long Beach area and this completely fit the bill. The area it's located in is "so so" but quite safe and the hotel itself is very clean and has friendly staff.

The front desk clerk was extremely friendly and helpful. Made us feel welcome and went out of her way to be helpful.
There was only one elevator and it was slow.
The front desk clerk was one of the friendliest and helpful we have ever encountered. The hotel lobby was very nice, clean and pleasant. The room was very nice. Clean, quiet, nice bathroom with good water pressure. The bed was very comfortable with large pillows. We slept very well. The AC unit was quiet! That was very much appreciated. The area did not seem very good but we didn't need to walk anywhere. The free breakfast was excellent. We were very pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was for the cost. We used to always stay at Marriot's and Fairfield Inns but now we will stay at Best Westerns! read more
