Best Western Regency House Hotel

Prior to booking a room in this hotel, I looked at the reviews of other travelers. Most travelers described it as clean, but others expressed concern about three issues. One said it was less than clean, one said that there was a musty mildew odor in the building and another said the amenities were inferior. I booked the room for convenience, as it is the only hotel in the town of my birth. I am very aware of hotels that are dirty or poorly maintained. During my stay, I found this Best Western to be very well maintained and clean. I did not use a laptop in my room and can't speak about internet connectivity, but the other amenities were far more than my needs. The bed was more comfortable than those of many hotels. Furthermore, other than the old smoke smell of my room, there was no musty odor anywhere in the complex. This hotel is about 30 feet from the Pompton River, which can smell swampy during warm periods, so that may have been the source of an odor. It was cool during my stay. The smell was overwhelming in the halls, and in my room. I would not recommend anyone to stay. On my last day before check out, I saw the staff wet vacuuming a room. They definitely should be deodorizing that hotel.

The location and quality was fantastic. I was so pleasantly surprised. Easy to find, clean, comfortable and great for business traveler.

It is an old, outdated lodging facility that contains very little amenities that are now expected services and features.
