I liked the free WiFi that worked well, the fridge and microwave in the room and the free parking.
The free parking had limited space and required us to park on the street.
Very nice and clean hotel with a good breakfast.

Loved the old style remodeled lobby & public area.
Train goes by at night and is pretty close to hotel.
Nice and clean. Convenient downtown location and really like the old style decor. Very good value as well. We travel for business as well as pleasure and I would stay here again.

Comfort and quality of the room.
Limited parking spaces.
The interior of the hotel was much nicer than I expected as the outside seemed very plain. The room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. We heard the train, but it didn't bother us. The $3 breakfast had plenty of choices and I appreciated the fresh fruit.

Cleanliness and decor. Furniture I would pick for my own house. Breakfast is better than higher-priced hotels.
The only drawback might be no view of Riverwalk, but good proximity. Train noise, either less than last year or I've become used to it.

Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Railroad tracks a couple of blocks away a little noisy.
Really enjoyed the stay. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. Would most certainly stay there again.

The room exceeded expectations - was very clean and the bed very comfortable.
There is a train that can be heard from the hotel. It did not wake me up, but could wake up a light sleeper.
The staff was very courteous and the hotel room was nice - very comfortable. Everything in the room was high-quality. It certainly exceeded my expectations and was less expensive than other hotels in the area. I would stay there again.

Very nice staff and very clean.
Loud train at night a lot at night!
Beautiful, convenient walk to Riverwalk mall and restaurants. Furniture and amenities were very nice! Bath and Body works shampoo, clean all through out the hotel, and had free parking. I am light sleeper and the train was a terrible pain. I didn't hear it too much on of the nights, but the last night was unbearable.

Conveniently located to vacation activities.
No swimming pool.
We've stayed at this hotel before, that's why we decided to stay there again. Convenient to downtown activities and can ride trolley or Metro to your downtown destinations. Has a good breakfast, eggs, sausage, ham, biscuits and gravy, etc. not just a continental breakfast, for a small charge. Nice comfortable bed and fold out sofa bed, if you need the extra bed. Wireless internet connection. The only thing bad was the maid did not replenish the toiletries and wash rags, but other than that very nice place to stay. read more

The decor was solid wood and Berber type carpet reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright style.
It took over an hour for the front desk to respond to my complaint about a group of teenagers and their leaders running room to room and yelling.
Overall, the hotel was a pleasant surprise. Very clean, and I am particular. Decor is upscale, room spacious. The train only went by once all night, and it was not bad. I do wish someone from the front had come up immediately, though, when I called about the noise from the teen group. After the teens stopped running, singing at the top of their lungs, dancing with a large group and yelling and slamming doors, their leaders grouped in the hall till 11:30 p.m. and talked and laughed loudly outside my door, even after I had asked them kindly 2 hours before to please go to their rooms if they wanted to talk all night as we had a 5: 30 am wake up to catch our flight. By the time someone from the desk went to talk to them, it was very late. I saw another reviewer had a similar problem another time. Perhaps in the future with such groups, problems could be avoided if the leaders were told on check in or made to sign an agreement that groups cannot congregate or have conversations in the halls, and all group activities should take place in the lobby or elsewhere. More hotel than I expected for the money, as I have paid twice the amount for rooms not as clean or with such nice decor, but I do not know if I had stay there again with an early flight planned unless I had some sort of guarantee first that a large group of teens would not be on our floor. My teen and toddler could not sleep, and neither could I. read more
