The staff was amazingly friendly and attentive.
Surrounding area was a bit loud at times, not hotel's fault though.

I was amazed at the friendliness of the staff. Even the highly efficient grounds crew took the time to greet us whenever we passed. The entire hotel was very clean, the continental breakfast was nice and well apportioned, the dining area was clean, and the room was clean and quiet. We were about as far as it gets from the front desk/breakfast area and it was still a very short walk. read more

Staff was nice.

My children and I were burned by the hot water in the shower. It would fluctuate from where you set the temperature to boiling to freezing in the matter of seconds. Taking a shower was horrible.

Very nice atmosphere, lobby and staff was great. The pool was nice.
I had the hardest time opening the gate to the pool. I get childproof.

Very nice, relaxed hotel that meets every expectation of what I would want in a leisure travel hotel. Very close to many attractions, friendly staff and nicely appointed rooms.

The staff was friendly, there was an extra sink in the room, lots of mirrors, and the bathroom had nice touches.
Cockroaches. The breakfast buffet was stocked at all times, but lacked enough healthy choices; the "fitness room" was extremely claustrophobic.

Even though Charleston is quite expensive as far as lodging, this Best Western was somewhat outside of the city, and we expected a little better facility. Our room had a few nice touches i.e. extra sink, mirrored closet doors, refrigerator and microwave, but then the cockroaches made their appearance (major turnoff). The breakfast buffet was filled continuously, yet was very unexciting. There were complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby that were kept hot most of the time. In our room one thing that was odd is that one switch controlled both the bathroom light and the light over the extra sink in the room. Using the bathroom at night meant either waking up the whole room, or doing it in the dark. read more

Nothing.
Cleaning staff left room dirtier than they found it left dirt all over the unmade bed.

Was given a nonsmoking room that had clearly been smoked in, room smelled musty as well, cleaning staff came in and moved the towels (but did not give fresh ones), emptied the trash, but left the bed unmade and in fact there was dirt and grit all over the bed. We moved out of the hotel after one night.

Front desk clerk, the pool, the location.
A little dirty.

The young lady that worked the front desk was very pleasant to deal with. She gave us directions in as well as answered many questions that we had during our stay.

Great location, very clean, nice pool, great continental breakfast, and friendly and helpful staff.
Nothing negative to say.

This is a very nice motel in my opinion. I actually stayed here for about a year for business thirteen years ago and enjoyed it then too. It is in a very nice area of town and convenient to nice restaurants and shopping areas.
