Value.
Not a standard hotel.

For the money, the hotel was a great deal. It was not your general hotel, but very nice. The televisions were not very good and could be upgraded.

Tiny rooms, only one full bed, no climate control.

This would be an ideal place to stay for a single person traveling for business. We have a small child and the room was hardly big enough for the portable crib (and they charged $10 a night for the use of their cribs). The temperature was very cold inside all the buildings and rooms and the climate control did not work in our room.

We were upgraded to a suite becuase there was 3 of us and the suite was very nice. There are not a lot of resturants around unless you want the food court at the mall that was near by.

The setting of this place is beautiful with pristinely manicured lawns set conveniently to the Rockville and Gaithersburg area we needed to travel to.
It is a training facility and not equal to a hotel.

This was my first bad experience. I had previously always gotten a very good bargain for my money but in this case I do not think I did and was very disappointed. I had requested two room. The travelers were me, my son, his wife, and my two grandsons ages 3 and 5. When we arrived and I asked whether they had two doubles/queen beds or one king-sized bed in the rooms, I was shocked to find that each room had only one double bed. I asked then for two rollaway beds and was told that there was not room to put a roll-away bed in the rooms. I couldn't believe it until I saw one of the rooms. The bedroom part was about 9' X 9' with a double bed, a desk, desk chair, and a TV. The bathroom was also exceptionally small. In fact, some friends I had in the area told me this place used to actually be a nunnery so the sparseness of the rooms is understandable. When I explained our situation, they were very nice and upgraded one of the rooms to a suite which had a queen-sized bed and a separate room where we could put one roll-away bed, but my concern is what would we have done if that one suite had not been available. This place is fine for a business traveler on their own, but they should not be able to represent themselves as equal to a hotel of two or more stars. read more
