I liked the pool and the restaurant.
I did not like the fact that the staff did not offer to help with our bags.
For a hotel with gravel parking lot to call itself a 4 star hotel, and then to not offer help carrying bags across the gravel, is ridiculous. However, the pool staff is great, the concierge was very helpful, when asked the right questions, and the food in the restaurant was very good. Overall the hotel was excellent, but the lack of help with the bags makes it a 3 star hotel in my book. read more

The hotel was fantastic. There were some minor cosmetic issues with the room that could have been solved by touching up the paint. The staff was superb and extremely helpful.

The room was gorgeous.
The location was not where
I thought.
The hotel was gorgeous but it was near the airport which was not what I wanted. I was a 30 minutes cab ride from the city of Florence which made it hard to do much sight seeing.

The pool was great, the room was romantic.
Finding it and the location.
Parking was in a gravel lot and the distance was too far for the style of hotel, a porter should be watching a screen TV for help and safety.

Location
We spent an hour trying to find the property. We finally found a local who had us follow him in his car to get there. Because we lost an hour, we were unable to go into Florence that night and my family was very upset.

The rooms were luxurious.
The hotel is far away from Florence, not even on the map.
From the reception to the rooms, this is a deluxe property. However, it appears as though the builders ran out of money when building the parking lot. Clients must drag their luggage across a lot paved with little white stones. The extra services in the hotel, from the restaurant to internet services are very, very expensive. The fixed prix dinner started at 42 euros without wine. Internet access was a half a euro per minute. When I asked the front desk for a map of Florence, he had a standard visitor's map of the Florence area. The location of the hotel was somewhere off the map. The main reason to stay at this hotel must be for the hotel, not the location. read more

Hotel was near the airport and desk staffs were excellent. Restaurant service and food was very good but pricey.
Although hotel is near the airport it is very confusing to drive to. It is isolated so you need to use their pricey restaurant although it is nice.
Hotel is very nice. Room was nice and opened to a patio. Onsite restaurant was very good but pricey and since hotel is very isolated, no other restaurant options within walking distance. Getting to the airport which should have been a 20 minute commute was very confusing due to Italian highway signage. Overall very nice.

Beautiful pool.
It was not in Florence. It was far away from center.
It was a 25 euro taxi ride from the airport. It was a 30 euro taxi ride into Florence and was not even in the city of Florence. It was in Campi a different city.

This hotel had an expensive feel to it.
Understaffed at desk. Only 1 van into town but needed 10. Must pay for every little thing, like a towel. 5 minutes for e-mail etc.
This hotel is way out of the way. Not easy to get to even for the cab drivers who don't want to leave Florence to begin with. Shuttle service is a joke. Only 8 allowed even though 40 are waiting. Every other hotel had coffee and Danish in the mornings. This hotel was just pay all the time. Very clean rooms. Almost sterile. There is no way to get to this hotel except by cab. No buses, trains or walking. We tried. read more
