Superb location for business in Back Bay.
Small, crowded room.
The Park Plaza is one of those old grand hotel jewels requiring a face lift. The bathroom was clean but tiny with little shelf space, and the room itself was crowded with big furniture, but the location is ideal, the place was very clean and I would stay there again for the price.

Not much. The location was ideal.
The room was small and had paint peeling off the ceiling.
Possibly a nice hotel. Shabby accommodations at best. Needs a major update/refurbishment. No more than 2 stars.

Convenient to great shopping, staff was excellent.
Beds were double beds, too small for a family.
Our experience was wonderful. The room was older, but very clean. The beds were a bit small (double), but they were incredibly comfortable. The staff was outstanding and very helpful.

It was clean and seemed well managed.
Internet connectivity required paying a fee.
I have stayed at the Park Plaza on a few other occasions and it has always been a good experience, even when I was stuck between floors in an elevator many years ago. Most important, rooms and bathrooms are clean. Second, staff is pleasant, courteous and helpful. My only quibble is that on coming down the elevator and into the lobby it can be a little vexing on which entrance to use since there are no directional signs indicating which way to Copley Plaza, Back Bay, or to the streets.

Good location, equidistant between downtown and Back Bay.
Room was atrocious.
Older property needing severe renovations. Tiny room, peeling paint, regrettable furniture, tub too small to take a bath, with the thinest walls I've ever experienced. I travel monthly and have never experienced anything quite like it. I've stayed at far superior "3 star" Holiday Inns and Marriott Courtyards!

The location.
Loud workers, banging doors. They were working on the Presidential Suite. I was staying next door. The fans heavy equipment started at 8:30 am
The workers need to respect that there are paying guests, sleeping relaxing etc.

The hotel met our expectations at every level. Very clean sheets, room, bathroom, and very friendly staff.

Great lobby, festively decorated for the holidays.
Small, old fashion bathrooms, and our doorknob broke.

Convenience of location and numerous amenities.
Tiny, bit shabby if you looked too close.
