Located close to everything and walkable distance.
Carpet looked dirty or very old so felt odd seeing it.

Carpet needs a work on it.

Location, facility, staff.
Carpet too stained; towels/ice bucket were dollar store quality; no fridge or microwave.

Need to upgrade room amenities. I did not like staff knocking on door before 9am asking if we divulged in the mini-bar and if any items needed to be stocked. Definitely need to clean carpet!

Location was perfect; the concierge was the best for helping us with things to do and places to go.
Other rooms were small compared to ours; the restaurant was limited service, trouble at front desk one time.

All rooms either overlook courtyard or front quarter. Full size pool in courtyard. Great location.
Limited hours for restaurant and bar.

Attentive staff always at post at front door and front desk. This hotel is classic News Orleans courtyard style located half a block from bourbon street and three blocks from Jackson Square. Close to all the action but far enough for quiet sleep. Full sized pool makes relaxation possible in or out of un-cramped guest room.

Convenient to bourbon street.
Hotel room was not ready at 9pm. Blamed for problems at check in.

Had called that morning and been told we would have rooms next to each other (traveling with in-laws). Originally given rooms together but one bathroom not working properly (bathtub faucet was broken and pouring out water). When addressed with hotel staff, management came to room and asked "how did you break it?" this was at 9:00 pm. When requested to move to another room. Hotel originally refused to give us rooms on the same floor. After much discussion, found out there were rooms together but they did not want to give them to us because they were balcony rooms. read more

The location was excellent for the price paid.
The walls were too thin.

This hotel is pretty and clean. The staff is friendly and it is in a good location. The walls are relatively thin though, so I was able to hear my neighbor next door and the staff in the hallway. I don't think anyone really expects to sleep well in New Orleans though.

The location was very good, rooms were nice.
Valet to retrieve our car took an hour more than they said it would. Not good when you have a flight to catch!

The hotel overall was great, there were a few problems that we feel could have been avoided: there were in-room safes which come to find out were not working properly. We followed the instructions to use the safe, then we tried to open it and couldn't. We called security to get assistance, he said they didn't work , because someone had stolen the override device during Katrina and they would have to get a locksmith. We gave them our cell number to call when they were on their way, and they never called, we got back to they room to find all of our money and valuables sitting out in the open on the desk. I felt that at minimum the front desk should have told us not to use the safe at all. Valet parking was also a nightmare when we left. The said it would take 25 minutes and it took 1 1/2 hours to get the car. Very frustrating when you have a plane to catch! read more
