We liked the lodge with free Happy Hour and the breakfast very much.
Rooms are old, need new carpeting and air conditioners with humidifiers.
We patronized the hotel for the lodge, it's beautiful and the large trees with the Spanish moss hanging from them The grounds are beautiful, but we wouldn't stay there again because of the musty smells in the rooms. We had several different rooms over the years, so we guess it's in all the rooms.

The room was very clean and the wireless internet was good quality and strength.
The property is very old and is showing its age badly. Peeling wallpaper and ancient looking fixtures.
The room was very clean and the mattress very soft and comfortable. The wireless internet service was reliable and had a strong signal. The area was very quiet. However, the hotel is very old and badly in need of some TLC. The wallpaper was peeling. There was a badly patched hole in the wall of the room. The toilet, sink, and other fixtures, such as lamps looked ancient. This could be a great place to stay with a little remolding. read more

Log Cabin appeal on 6 acres of land.
Tallahassee is hilly, so entrance has severe slope.
I thought this hotel was great for what I paid as a price to stay here. Good value and nice look to the hotel from my interests. Would stay here again in future if required.

Location and price.
Musty, humid room with mold on ceiling.
The property and public areas are very quaint and comfortable. Perhaps we were just very unlucky with our room, but it was smelly, sheets and comforter were damp from the humidity. The entire ceiling had mold growing on it. Arrived at 11 pm so just dealt with it.

Excellent value for the price! Great breakfast offerings!
The room had a musty smell. I had to febreeze the whole room!
This hotel is what you think of when you think of family road trips of the 60's and 70's, and I mean this in a very good way. Good location, friendly staff, and a great priceline price made this a very good stay!

Free toothbrush and toothpaste if you forget yours.
Bugs in bed, small flying cockroaches in room. Room was musty.
I was expecting a little more for my money at a Cabot. Yes, this is supposed to be a "lodge" style hotel but I did not expect the bugs in the bed or flying insects in the room. At request, staff put new sheets and comforter on bed after first night but could not do anything about the small flying roaches. It was quiet at night even though the hotel was completely booked. Free happy-hour was a plus and breakfast was decent. I will never stay here again. read more
