Very noisy on lower level.
Noisy from people above us and lights not working. Very plain rooms, and no frills.

Basic amenities were available.
Price.
It was okay. It was not as nice as I expected. It's somewhat hard to find. There were a few hotel rooms with parties going that were disruptive.

Everything but the actual room was wonderful.
The room pictured was update, this wasn't.
The staff was quite rude when we explained we thought we were paying for an updated room as pictured with a fireplace. Instead of an apology or trying to work with us, I got a lecture . Also, the price of the room dropped. We could have got a better room with dinner for the price!

While the property and location are quite beautiful and close to shopping and dining, the walls are paper thin (we could clearly hear the gentleman above us snoring all night when he wasn't getting out of bed to use the bathroom) and the beds are extremely uncomfortable. My entire party awoke with aching backs!

Unique lodge-like setting with nice gardens and lounge.
Average rooms.
Cute hotel tucked away in the pines. Lodge setting with stone fireplace and gardens.

Pretty surroundings.
The noisiest hotel I ever stayed at with the worst soundproofing and smallest TV ever.
Surroundings were beautiful but inconvenient to walk to town center. very noisy. TV was about 13 inch screen. Took 3 changes to get one that worked marginally.

The gardens are gorgeous in the spring.
Gardens were not well tended, staff was rude, room wasn't clean.
We returned to the Cambria Pine Lodge in September because we had a pleasant experience when we stayed there in May. In the spring, they had beautiful, romantic gardens and the resort was peaceful and relaxing. However, the staff was rude and unhelpful. But we decided to return again in September because the gardens and the atmosphere of the grounds made up for the lack of hospitality from the staff. After our September stay, we will not ever return to the Cambria Pine Lodge. The staff was even ruder; the walls and ceiling (we had a downstairs room) were so thin we could hear every TV that was on around us. Our TV in the bedroom didn't have a matching remote; we had 2 remotes for the TV in the living area but no remote for the TV in the bedroom. We could hear every single step the people above us made-it even shook our furniture! When we arrived: there were dirty coffee cups at our front door (they were still there when we checked out the next day); the furniture was rearranged as if a party had just vacated our room; there was hair in the bathroom sink, shower and on the bathroom counter. I was very disappointed because this was such a lovely resort the last time we stayed here, with the exception of the staff. The next time we visit Cambria, we will try one of the many other quaint hotels, B&Bs or lodges that are more conveniently located in town. read more
