First room was smelly. It was in poor repair, carpets were new looking but poorly laid, bathroom was very worn. Requested a new room based on the smell. Were moved down the hall about 4 rooms. Much better, but still sketchy. Same carpet, worn drapes, electrical wiring outside the ceiling (installed as an after thought) inside the room at the entrance.

We like to stay at this hotel when we go to Calgary for Flames games, because it is reasonably priced and located very close to the LRT station. The staff are very helpful.

The staff was great, in moving us to an updated room as the toilet in the first room needed repair. The pool was under construction so not available.

Very economical for the location and quite pleasant. Who stays in their room all day anyway, we only need a clean and adequate place to stay at a reasonable price.

The pictures of this hotel somehow magically make it appear really beautiful. In reality, it is a little warn around the edges, although there seemed to be renovations starting as we checked out! The beds are comfortable, and there is a fridge in each room which is a bonus. The pool, although big, was quite cold, and the hot-tub water was tepid with jets that did not work. Make your own waffle option in the morning was a good way to save a few dollars, but the coffee was not-drinkable (the color of very weak tea). Parking is free.
