View and proximity of points of intrest.
Windows in our room had not been washed in awhile.
I was very happy with this hotel as we were able to walk to points of interest and restaurants. The people in the hotel as well as the surrounding businesses were friendly and very welcoming. Even being as close to the Granville street bridge as we were, it was quite and our view at night was beautiful However I wish we had a balcony from our room.

Great location. Proximity to Granville Island, Yaletown.
Room quite small and not much to do on premises.
If you like Granville Island and Yaletown this is a great hotel from a location perspective. It is also good for a traveller who wants a clean room, close to a number of restaurants and right downtown. Very little to do on site except sleep, and perhaps eat dinner in the restauant. There is also a nice roof top bar. Kids would be bored. The queen room is very small.

they upgraded our hotel room because they did not have shuttle service from airport.
No airport shuttle service & we believed that service was available.
Hotel was very nice. Employees were very helpful in regard to our problem of no shuttle service. They helped us set up a bus tour of Vancouver.

The lights in the room were dim.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was big enough but the lighting was dim. The hotel dining was more expensive than I like, but there were other places in the area to eat. The hotel next door was a stop for the trolley and buses can be caught just a block away. The gym and the hot tub looked inviting. The beds were firm and comfortable. I never woke up hearing water running in another room. read more

Lights were partly damaged, had to pay for internet use and had problems to find hotel.
Too much money for a moderate hotel.

Excellent bed, double sheeted, nicely updated room.
Room by busy roadway, not able to reduce noise.
This hotel's location is outside the main downtown but was satisfactory if you like to walk. It is an easy walk to Granville Island or Robeson street. Further, bus service to other areas is easily accessible. There is a fairly large number of homeless in the area so use public transportation if you go out at night unless you are familiar with the area. There was excessive room noise from the highway which was difficult to reduce. We closed the windows, pulled the curtains and turned the air conditioner fan on which helped somewhat. The room was very small but acceptable. However, the pillows were not good. We used the decorative pillows which were fine. Water pressure was unpredictable and the hot water was very hot. Maid service was ok. However, a daily request for an extra towel was ignored. Because of this experience, should I return to Vancouver. read more
